"In her analog approach, Williamson meticulously deconstructs photographic portraiture. This process of dissection and reassembly transcends mere visual alteration; it becomes an act of introspection and a meditation on time's malleability"

Collage helps us to see what is familiar in new and dynamic ways. Through the act of taking something apart and recreating it, we can see it again with new eyes.

I love paper, actually I've always loved anything printed. I remember being kid in the library and sneakily smelling books (hoping no-one would catch me). I still do the sniff test (it tells you a lot about a publication) and get excited whenever I stumble across a beautiful book, zine or magazine.

Then when you mix that with my design background - with a penchant for editorial design and photography, PLUS, add in a bit of dadaism and surrealism inspiration and you get my unique approach to collage.

In a world where things are becoming more and more artificial and digital, it is refreshing to see something made physically; it holds a texture and depth, that is very hard to recreate digitally. It also revels 'mistakes' and a roughness that is part of life but is seemingly being erased from popular and mainstream media.
